Axion Rotary Interface

The Axion Rotary Interface is a means to mount a head support to provide controlled lateral rotation for the head support in an arc of 60 or 90 degrees.

Description

The Axion is a rotational interface designed to enhance head support systems by allowing adjustable head movement. Positioned between the head support pad and mounting hardware, it features a curved rail and ball on a stem, enabling smooth rotation while the base remains stationary.

The rotation can be locked at any point using an underside knob, and users can choose between two ranges: the Axion-60, offering 60° of total rotation (30° each way), or the Axion-90, with 90° total rotation (45° each way).

Available in various sizes to fit different ball sizes and hardware, the Axion provides customisable head support for improved comfort and flexibility.

How It Works

The Axion comprises of the base housing, curved rail and ball on a stem. The Axion is an interface mounted between the head support pad and the head support mounting hardware.

The rail rotates through the base and with the head support. The base remains stationary. The knob underneath permits locking out the rotation and can be engaged at any position on the rail.

There are two rotation ranges, 90 or 60 degrees.

The Axion-90 rail is longer than the Axion-60 rail. This longer rail may project beyond the edge of smaller headrests. If in doubt, choose the Axion-60 series.

The rotation is 30° each way for the Axion-60 and 45° each way for the Axion-90.
